Game Description
The Battle for Wesnoth is a turn-based strategy game set in a classic fantasy world. You get to build and lead your own army, starting with just a handful of units and a bit of gold. As you play, your soldiers gain experience and can become stronger, tougher warriors over time. You’ll face all kinds of enemies—humans, elves, orcs, undead, and more—each with their own strengths and weaknesses.
You move your units across hexagon-shaped maps filled with forests, mountains, rivers, and villages. Different terrains change how well your units fight and move, so you have to think carefully about where to attack or defend. Capturing villages gives you extra gold, which you can use to recruit more fighters for your army. The game has lots of story-driven campaigns, so you can play through exciting adventures like reclaiming a lost throne, surviving against undead hordes, or leading a group of elves to safety.
